Windows 10: Help With DirectX

I Recently took my laptop in for a fresh install of Windows. When I got it back i tried to boot up games that have worked on this pc before the fresh install. I soon learned it was a problem with my Direct X so I went to re-download it. On downloading it gave me "check DirectX.log" error. So I did and It gave me this

Directx 12 on Windows 10 is gone

Try the following steps and check if it helps:

Step 1:

I suggest you to check the DirectX Version installed on your system.

Follow the below steps to check the DirectX Version:

• Press Windows key + R from the Desktop.
• Type dxdiag and hit Enter.
• Check the DirectX Version.

Step 2:

I suggest you to update the Graphic driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

• Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.
• Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
• Select Graphic driver from the list.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then install the latest graphic driver from the manufacturer and check if it helps.

Help with upgrading DirectX

I suggest you to follow the Steps and check.

Method 1:

1. Press Windows key + R.

2. Type dxdiag to check the latest version of Directx installed in your computer.

Method 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the Graphics Card Drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

Steps to uninstall the Graphics Card Drivers.

1. Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

2. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

3. Search for the Graphics Card from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
from the computer.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

Download the latest Graphics adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.
