Windows 10: Help with file sharing

Hi everyone I’d like some help, I’m having issue with Windows file sharing where I wanna share just my video files on my home network b everytime I go to set one up it creates a file named user with every folder on my pc in it can’t for the life of me figure it out and Google’s been no help.

Ermmm, where are the files stored? Server or one of the machines you listed?

Should be easy enough to help you through the forum, you may not need a help site.

 

Block File sharing in Wifi network, Windows 10

Hi Lori,

As per the description, I understand that you want to block file sharing on your Wi-Fi network. I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Right click on Start and select Control Panel.
• Change the view type to Large Icons.
• Click on Network and Sharing center.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Advanced sharing center.
• In the right pane, under Files and printer sharing, select the option:
  Turn off file and printer sharing.
• Restart the system and check for status.
