Windows 10: Help with first step in idnetifying random restarts

I've had this issue for a long time, I have Windows 10 Home version 1909 18.363.778.

The computer randomly restarts. I can't figure out why. I had this issue now going on two years. I thought it was a component issue still might be I suppose, so last year I started replacing them. Everything is new save for the GPU.


What should I be recording or trying to find first, beyond looking at the Event Log?


For example, today 7:25:44 am the computer restarted as I was gaming, and it happens randomly at anytime, just not when gaming.



The last error the event log recorded was a ESENT error Event ID 455, logging/Recovery, but it was 22 minutes before the restart.


prior to that I have 14 events 4 of which were errors all ESENTs. The warnings were Certificate Services Client, DNS Client Evens Distributed COM e1i65x64 Network Connection #2 link is disconnected and two more DNS Client events before the final ESENT warning.



So is there a script I could write that would capture the true error, I'm not certain that any of these warning / errors actually caused the restart.



Lastly, I've built this computer, so I don't think it's an over heating issue, or anything like that. System is clean, I clean it often ect.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
