Windows 10: Help with Icons/Scaling issue?

Started a new job at the company and now I have a Windows 10 computer. I'm not totally inept, but I run a Hackintosh at home and haven't been on a Windows system in some time.

The computer that is assigned to me is an HP ZBook. Resolution is set to 1920 x 1080. In this room we have a number of HP Elitedesk work stations, all set to 1920 x 1080. The workstations have my ideal scaling. The laptop (hooked to an external monitor via HP dock) has something going on and I can't figure out how to switch it to how I would like it. Attached are screen shots from a workstation and the laptop.

The only other difference with the laptop is that it is also hooked up to a large television mounted on the wall. Typically it is a mirrored image. However, I feel like within my own profile (it is a shared computer) I should be able to set the font size and app scaling to my liking. The most annoying setting is that of the tool ribbon in Word, Excel, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this irks me to no end. I'm using one of the terminals for my peace of mind at this moment.

MS Office and Skype scaling issue with display monitors

The scaling issues with your display monitor can be caused by an outdated operating system. To further isolate the concern, we suggest that you check for the latest update for Windows by following these steps:

• Click on Start or the Windows Logo on your taskbar.
• Select Settings or the gear icon and click Updates & security.
• Click on Check for updates.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

1. Press control key + p.

2. Now select the number of pages you want to scale while printing.

3. Click apply.

4. Now click on print.
