    Hi,

    My Windows 10 keeps freezing with the below error:

    usually accompanied by loss of internet connectivity via a USB wifi dongle.

    I have updated graphics drivers and the MB chipset drivers

    can anybody assist or point me in the direction of the offending component?

    I have recently built a custom gaming PC, (If need specs, just ask) and every couple of hours, it freezes with the last seconds or so of audio; creating a loud, repetitive sound. In the problem details from Security and Maintenance from the control panel,

    Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

    1. Is this freezing issue specific to one application OR you face this issue irrespective of any application?

    2. Did you update all the drivers?

    If not, since it is a custom build, you may visit the manufacturer website of each component and update your drivers to check if it helps.

    Install & update drivers in windows 10:

    How to: Install and Update Hardware Drivers in Windows 10

    Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.
    You may also install all the pending updates.

    You can perform System File Checker (SFC) scan and check if it helps.

    System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    To perform SFC Scan, refer to the below link:

    Note: Steps mentioned for Windows 8/8.1, will work fine with Windows 10.

    If you have installed all the components yourself, you may again check if all the hardware components are connected properly.
