Windows 10: Help with Pdf's not previewing in file explorer

Hi Guys, I am hoping someone can help me with this current issue I am having. I don't know if it is an Abode or Microsoft issue but it is really frustrating. I run a business that is 100% paperless and involves a lot of data entry. All scanned documents are renamed and then processed.Needless to say that I use File Explorer all day long. The issue I have is with the previewing of PDF files. If I open a new File Explorer window none of the Pdfs will preview. This can happen once a day or 50 times a day. Even with each new folder opened, then there are days where the pdf's preview eve

Preview in File Explorer with Edge

To do this follow the steps below.

• Press WINDOWS + i on your keyboard
  
• Click on "APPS" then click on Default apps
  
• Click on Microsoft Edge browser
  
• Then in the "PDF" option you choose which default browser you want to open files in PDF format.

pdf preview in Windows 10 file explorer

I have been using "preview pane" in file explorer forever. However, for some unknown reason, the preview pane for pdf files have become very small, to the point where the pdf file preview pane is too small and unreadable. preview pane for all other files
appears to be ok (large enough as before). this is only affecting pdf files.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader.

I am looking for suggestions to get back to where the preview pane of pdf files is as large as before

 

Delete and Cut Files with Preview Pane Open

• Have you tried to delete the pdf file in preview panel?
• What exactly happens when try to delete the pdf file?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Open File Explorer.
  
• 
  Select View and click on preview panel.
  
• 
  Select the pdf file.
  
• 
  At the right corner you will be able to see preview panel.
  
• 
  You can right click on it and delete the files.
