Windows 10: Help with persistent and random DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE errors

Hi all,I have been experiencing driver power state errors for the past few months and doing what I could find online to fix it. I have tried:1. Updating all network and video adapters via device manager.2. Updating graphics card drivers via nvidia's software3. Set power plan to "Ultimate Performance"I have uninstalled unused programs and everything on my PC is a relatively known quantity that should not cause these kinds of issues. Although I cannot prove it, I suspect my graphics card is the root cause. It is unfortunately difficult to test as it crashes randomly, sometimes days apart. Hopefu

Help identifying DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE cause

Hello,

I've been having some BSOD issues for a while now on my laptop (Asus ROG G771JMC, running Windows 8.1). They're seemingly at random and the reason listed is always DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE . I haven't been able to identify the cause, and I'd like to try and prevent them from happening. Would somebody be able to help me with my minidump files, please?

However, please let us know:

• When exactly do you receive the Blue Screen error?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

I have tried to access the link for dump files shared by you. However, I was unable to access the link. I would suggest you to upload the files in OneDrive and share the link.



The DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE error occurs when the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. You may want to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the Remarks section of the
article Bug Check 0x9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
and see if that helps.



Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
