Windows 10: Help with Sound card

Hello I'm wondering if someone can advise me. I'm not that good with PCs. I have just bought a reconditioned Dell OptiPlex 5050 running windows 11. I used to have a dell OptiPlex which was windows 7. I did put the sound card in myself and its always been great. I have now got the recon one. My problem is that I used to use my creative labs SoundBlaster sound card in the old dell. I am wondering can i fit it in to the Dell 5050 Can any one advise.Any advice gratefully receivedThankyouKeith

"sound card cannot be found". Does the Device Manager list it, and with an error? Or is it no listed in the Device Manager?
If its not listed at all, that suggests the BIOS is not detecting it or there is a BIOS error. Windows will not detect it if the BIOS does not.

You can try a BIOS reset and see if that helps, if its not being detected by the BIOS.

 

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set.
