Windows 10: Help with Startisback taskbar shortcuts expanding to fill entire bar

Hi, I'm looking for support with Startisback in Windows 10. I haven't found any references online on existing threads.

I just installed a custom theme with SecureUxTheme (Nord theme) along Startisback on a new machine. When Startisback is active, though, I get this weird behavior in the taskbar where my programs expand to fill the entire space (screenshot). I don't remember it behaving this way on my last install, and I've messed with all the settings and couldn't find a way to disable it. Can anyone help?

As per the issue description you are unable to add a shortcut to the taskbar in Windows 10. You are right that there is no option to pin the shortcut to the taskbar. However, you should be able to drag and drop the shortcut to the taskbar. If you are unable
to do that try the steps provided below and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

• Open the network connection page by clicking on the shortcut.
• Once that page is open, you could see the same in the taskbar.
• Now, right click on the icon of network connection in the taskbar which is representing your shortcut.
• Select the option pin to the taskbar.
• Now the shortcut will be pinned to the taskbar.

• What is the name of the Database program?
• Is this issue specific to the program icon which you have pinned to taskbar?

Step 1: First, try to unpin the program icon from the taskbar.

1. Right click on the program icon is pinned to taskbar.

2. Click on Unpin from taskbar.

This answer is troubling. Yes, after opening the calculator, I could right-click the icon in the taskbar and select Pin to Taskbar. BUT, why was I unable to simply drag the shortcut from the desktop? This answer says I "should be able to drag and drop",
but I wasn't. What's the root cause of THAT failure?
