Windows 10: Help with Taskbar cutomization

So. back in Win 98, XP, Vista, and 10 I could hide my desktop Icons and add a drop down menu My task bar was usually on the top. Is there anyway to set my taskbar up like this again? And move it from the bottom?I know this is kind of niche, but I would like to set my machine up so it is more compatible with how i use it, and less like a Mac Book.Thanks in advance for all the help!

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.
