So, I recently was installing a theme for my computer. I was also downloading some other programs that were on a youtube video which kind of helps your computer look more sleek.

I downloaded a program called "Blank It" and "TBarIconBlanker".

After I finished installing everything, I noticed my taskbar was taller. I saw that the date now had the day of the week, and I didn't have that before installing the programs so I uninstalled them and the weekday is still there.

I went to Region and Time section of the control panel and tried to change stuff but nothing happened. The settings are as if there wasn't a weekday on the taskbar.

My taskbar isn't locked and when I pull down it doesn't go down. It stays in the same position. It is very frustrating because I don't know what is causing this now and I don't like how it looks.

    What should I try now?

Here's my desktop so you can see the taskbar size.

    Help with Date+Time in taskbar

    You might try this:
Right click on the desktop then select “personalize”, near the bottom, then select “task bar”, again near the bottom.
See if the Turn off “Use small taskbar buttons”, is on or OFF, I changed mine to off and that corrected the same problem I had. Hope this helps, even though late.

  3. Day and date gone from taskbar

    Hello,

To assist you better, you might have opted to have the small buttons on the taskbar from its properties. If you uncheck the option to have small buttons on the taskbar, then that would increase the taskbar size and will display the date with the time on the
    notification area on the taskbar.

    You may follow these steps:

    • Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
    • On the Taskbar tab, uncheck the option “Use small Taskbar
      buttons”.
    • Click on Apply and then OK.
    • Now check if that display the date with the time on the notification area.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
