Windows 10: Helping Microsoft windows 10 install

You can blame the US Navy for these suggestions but I am building a new computer and getting rid of my Windows 7 computer and I have run in to "fun times" in putting Windows 10 on the new computer.


The first problem is that it said I needed some media files. It wasn't specific. I got the DVD that came with my motherboard and put it into my Windows 7 computer and copied it to a USB flash drive because my blue ray drive hasn't arrived yet. I then went looking for the unmentioned driver. I found a folder that said Win 10. In that one, it gave me 3 options. None worked for getting me past this screen. I was smart though since I downloaded to my Windows 7 computer all the newest drivers for the motherboard. I then copy and pasted it to the USB drive and it finally worked.


I had some product key errors following. The problem was it hasn't asked me for the product key that I got from the seller newegg.com. When it finally did, I was told it couldn't be verified. I was told by a relative that I needed to be on the internet and the computer is going to be wireless and then you will need a password to get on. I like the old way where it would say that they would check it when you got onto the Internet. I would be transferring files now if that was still the case.


This is just as far as I got. There may be more. I hope not. If this helps others, I have made my suggestions at a good time.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
