  2. battery charging very slowly?

Your phone is 2.5 years old.

The INORDINATE amount of time( 8 hours) clearly indicates a rapidly deteriorating battery whose cells cannot retain a charge.

There are more non viable cells, than working cells, so you are recharging the working cells more often hastening their demise.

However the 1520 uses a li-i on 3400 mAh which is non user replacement

Batteries can only be recharged a finite amount of times

    Here is the
    guide
but you urgently need a new battery as your phone will cut out.

  3. 6630 BL-5C battery problem

Batteries only last about 2 years or so. It also depends on how much you charge your phone. I have been told if you let your battery die completely before recharging it again helps.

The thinner batteries have less life in them than the thicker ones.

IIRC the common wisdom (and perhaps the official advice from sources like Battery University) is to store in the refrigerator (NOT FREEZER). The time-limiting factor in the lifespan of LiIon batteries is oxidation of the anode, which raises the internal resistance to the point where current cannot get out, making the battery look dead ot the outside world. This oxidation process, being a chemical reaction, happens more slowly at lower temperatures.

Does not look like the article is offering any useful advice for modern phones or tablets which nowadays typically come with irreplaceable battery. Use the original charger, don't overcharge, etc. - it's just common sense, nothing there to really "make the battery last forever".
