Windows 10: Hesitation when starting/opening programs

I recently started encountering a very unusual problem or at least unusual to me. When I try to open or use certain applications there is a long hesitation before they responded. It's very noticeable for Bria softphone as well as Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I also see it in Word and Excel. The PC also is taking excessive

Windows 10 Start Menu Programs Incorrect Location

As you are unable to open the program from Start screen. I would suggest you to right click on it and click on
Unpin from Start. Browse to the file location, right click on it and select Pin to Start to set it properly.



To change the Start settings, follow these steps:

• Click on Search and type “Start settings” without quotes.
• Click on the Start settings (System settings).
• It will open the Personalization window with Start settings.
• From here you can make the necessary changes.

Let us know the results.

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
