Windows 10: HEVC Video Extensions support

I loaded the HEVC Video Extensions support after purchasing from Microsoft Shop. Now the only audio that plays on my HP laptop internal speaker is the audio in the Film & TV video player. Do I need to re-install the file? Is there something else I can check. I have gone through endless troubleshooting / diagnosis, reloading drivers, and it finds nothing wrong. Audio works in that program, but everything else is silent youtube, sounds on windows, spotify, etc.

It is just an extension/codec that installed on your Windows 10 to be able to play HEVC or H.264 video format using the default video player installed on your Windows 10 PC.

HEVC content on devices that don’t have a hardware-based video encoder.

Why is it no longer available? Does MS plan to make it available again? It was available up until about a month ago.

• Where are you getting HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer showing as temporarily unavailable?
