    Missing SATA drives after Windows 10 Update

    Hi,

    You may have to update or install a vendor specific SATA driver.

    Can you open the Device Manager and expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"

    How do i restore my SSD performance?

    mine is displaying frozen, then when i unplug the SATA data cable and re-plug it, that doesnt work to un-freeze it, but it doesnt crash the system either *Frown hey can i restore data if one security update was missing on my pc my sata changed to ata... :(!

    DVD drive missing from 'THIS PC'

    Yes, I have tried uninstalling both the DVD/CD-ROM drives and the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers from device manager and rebooting. Not sure which controllers you are suggesting are missing. Also cleaned the laser.
