Valorant BSOD - Error Code: Page Fault In Nonpaged Area

Hi, yesterday I started getting BSOD when Trying to play Valorant, it seems to be a Memory related issue. I've tried every possible solution so far but I´d like to see if anyone can help me with this.

    • When does this happen ?
      • When trying to play the game, during gameplay my monitors will turn almost black with high contrast and freeze for a few seconds before restarting my PC.
    • What Code does Windows Reliability Monitor show ?
      • Code: 0x00000050
    • My Dump Files:

    So far I´ve tried:

    1. Giving vgk.sys access to everything
    2. Setting Valorant to "Run as Administrator"
    3. Reinstalling Valorant

    Things I haven't checked:

    1. Re inserting RAM sticks

EDIT: This is only happening with Valorant, no other game is giving me the same problem, so I assume re installing the Ram will not have much of an effect.

  3. When i try to run valorant after my pc has been shut off the first time always get blue screen one of the kernels, after it restarts game starts fine but how do I fix that.

Hey, So I recently built a new pc last month and I had no problem running valorant or certain games before. but recently I noticed after I shut of my pc for the night and start it the next day and run valorant, once i get into the game menu I get BSOD and the codes have been....

    kernel_Mode_Heap_failure

    kernel_Security_Check failure

and some others i don't remember but after it restarts I can run valorant again fine. So i was wondering how I can fix this

I have used cclearner, command prompt scannow and all of it detected no errors or corruptions.

  4. Hey I've a problem regarding my Valorant game. It was running fine, then one day when I try...

    [2024.04.25-07.41.23:936][705]LogWindows: Error: [Callstack] 0x00007ffd5c08aa48 (module + 0x000000000005AA48) ntdll.dll!UnknownFunction [] Valorant error seems to ve an ntdll.dlll issue

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

The error you're encountering with VALORANT, involving ntdll.dll, suggests an issue that's not uncommon in the realm of Windows applications and games. The ntdll.dll file is a critical system file that contains NT kernel functions. Problems with this DLL can stem from a variety of sources, including but not limited to corrupted system files, outdated drivers, or conflicts with the game itself.

    1. Run the Game as an Administrator

Right-click on the VALORANT shortcut and select "Run as administrator". This grants the game the permissions it might need to access certain system files or settings.

    2. Update Graphics Drivers

Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause issues. Update your graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel).

    3. Perform a Clean Boot

Performing a clean boot for your computer reduces conflicts related to software that can bring up the root causes of the crashing. You can perform a clean boot by using System Configuration to disable all non-Microsoft services and then rebooting.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

    4. Use the System File Checker

Run the System File Checker (SFC) to repair corrupted or missing system files.

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
    • Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
    • Restart your computer after the scan and repair process is complete.
    5. Reinstall the Game

If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling VALORANT. This can help resolve any corrupt game files.

    6. Check for Hardware Issues

Although less common, hardware issues can also cause such errors. Run a memory check by typing mdsched.exe in the Start menu and selecting "Restart now and check for problems" to check for RAM errors.

    7. Contact Support

If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to VALORANT's support team or visiting their forums for more specific advice. Given the error log, they might be able to provide a more tailored solution.

While the error involves ntdll.dll, it's not necessarily a problem with the DLL itself but rather how the game or other software interacts with it or other parts of your system.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best regards
