so i had an activation windows problem before and i solved it through youtube video and got it activated and then i had a problem with my windows updates and i posted it here and i thought i solved it but it worked out for like a couple of months then it returned saying that the updates are failure due to “ Your Device Is Missing Important Security and Quality Fixes“ so i can’t even update to windows 11 and my c disc is so full only 8GB are free and i don’t know why even though i set up any app in disc d so now my laptop is really slow and not responding like every second and i have tried ev

By extending C drive, the delayed Windows update issue can be resolved. Storage space on the system C drive is frequently consumed by Windows updates. Additionally, the computer's performance will decrease if the system C drive runs out of space after a Windows update.

The system C drive can be extended to resolve this problem.

Clear the Windows Update Cache and delete Windows.old

A Windows.old folder will automatically be created and saved in the C drive as a backup of the previous version of Windows when you install a new Windows update. The system C drive will require a lot of room for this. The system C drive will also need some room for the Windows update cache.

Run Diskcleanup to speed up the pc.

Step 1: Right-click the C drive in Windows File Explorer to launch Disc Cleanup to speed up your computer.

2. Select the "Properties" button and then select the General tab.

Step 3: Select "Disc Cleanup" and look for anything on the C drive that is eating up a lot of space.

Step 1. Open Windows Device Manager, expand Disk drives.

Step 2. Right-click on the system disk and select "Properties".

Step 3. Go to the Toos tab, click "Optimize" under Optimize and defragment drive.

Step 4. Select the System C drive and click "Optimize".

Windows 10 update: start up and sleep issues caused

Thank you for your response: apologies for slow feedback.

Regarding step 1 - doing a restore point : I tried this twice and twice it failed. Now, the date of the update that caused the issue (13/14 September 2019) has disappeared from the history list. Is there a way of finding it, still?

Regarding Step 2- the list of updates installed: the two suggestions above do not seem to appear in the list in the window "Installed Updates".

There are two updates listed for 13 September - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and Security Update for Microsoft Windows.

Could you advise what I might try next?
