Soo Past few days my pc has been majorly stuttering and freezing, idk why its happening and trying to figure outAlso loading games freezes and stuttering happens on a randomall my drivers are up to date, and ive reinstalled windowsall parts have been bought within past 2 yearsSpecs:Ryzen 7 5800XRTX 306032gb Ram5TB M.2

FPS drops below 10 every couple of minutes

Very interesting. Our default suggestion list for fighting stutter becomes more interesting.

 

Occasional PC freeze

Sadly I continue to have the same intermittent problem.

After a spate of further freezes, always soon after morning boot up, last Friday I changed the CMOS battery (needed to remove and replace the graphics card to access the battery). The BIOS reload the last parameter set after the change.

For a few days no problems.

Then yesterday a couple of freezes. After 2 or 3 reboots it was fine for the rest of the day.

This morning:
Boot up - freeze after 10-15 minutes.
Reboot - freeze during BIOS after detecting memory before the list of detected drives.
Reboot - freeze after "loading operating system" message
Reboot - still OK after a couple of hours.

Past experience suggests it will be OK for the rest of the day.

I've run memtest86, OK; Speccy, Crystal Disk Info & Hard Disk Sentinel all report drives OK.

Any thoughts?

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
