  1. Hi All, wifi and ethernet ip

    Good day to all,

i'm just new here and i'm just a newbie in network administration.

i have this question on our network.

when i connect to one of our access point, it did give me an IP address..

    Wifi IP - 10.0.36.65(Preferred)

while if i connect to an ethernet lan, it did give me an IP address..

    Lan IP - 192.168.42.166

"My question is why do i get different IP address from our Wifi IP and Lan IP..."

sorry for the question i just want to understand why won't it give me a same IP address..

Thank you for all the guys that will answer my question..

    :)

Unidentified Network/valid IP configuration: both Ethernet and WiFi

I have this problem everywhere, not just at home. Though at home I have access to connect directly or with the Ethernet, which doesn't seem to change the issue at all. Specifically, we've tried assigning IP addresses manually already.

If I didn't understand your suggestion though, just let me know what steps I need to do.

  3. Ethernet/Wifi does not have a valid ip configuration

After the cumulative update for windows 10 my ethernet and wifi have stopped working with the "Ethernet/Wifi does not have a valid ip configuration". I tried out all the steps mentioned by Praseetha
    K Nair
for a similar issue in windows 8 (Error message: Ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration and unable to connect to Internet after installing Windows 8.)

Please let me know the way to fix this issue asap. Not able to connect to the internet is a huge drawback and hampers all my work.

    Thanks,

Hi All, wifi and ethernet ip

IP configuration not valid - interference from ethernet adapter?

Solution 1: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1or Windows 10

    Step 1:

Go to Device Manager → Network adapters.
    Step 2:

    Expand it (Network adapters).

    Step 3:

    Select your network adapter

    Step 4:

Right click on your wireless network adapter or Ethernet adapter and then tap “Update Driver Software”.
(in this case your network adopter is Ethernet adopter so tap your Ethernet adapter)
    Step 5:

Now on a new window you will need to click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.

    Step 6:

Then select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.

Hi All, wifi and ethernet ip pick-comptible-driver-software.png

    Step 7:

Now choose the “Manufacturer’s drivers” from the list of two and then click next.

Hi All, wifi and ethernet ip select-network-adapter.png

    Step 8:

After the completion of the process just restart your PC and check if the problem is solved or not. If not, goto solution 2.

Solution 2: No Internet Access In Windows 8.1,windows10

    Step 1:

    Open command prompt.
    Step 2:

Just go on hitting the enter after typing the each command.
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
    Step 3:

Now to check if the settings are disabled type:
    netsh int tcp show global
    then hit enter.
    Step 4:

Now the thing left is just rebooting your system and just check if the problem is solved or not and just give feedback.*chuckle*Thumbs
