Windows 10: Hi- I am having an issue where when I log in, I see all my files were reset, background,...

I am thinking it might be a guest account it logs me into, but how do I resolve it?

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

As a workaround, I suggest you to change the desktop background/ remove the desktop background and check.

I suggest you to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
• Select Add an Account.
• Enter a user name and hit Next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
• Check if issue persists.

Windows background issue

Hi,

To isolate this matter, we have some questions for you:

• 
  When did the issue start?
  
• 
  Were there any changes made before the issue occurred?
  
• 
  Aside from updating your graphics driver, what other troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
  

It is possible that the issue are due to a
corrupted system
files
and
system image files. We suggest that you perform these
methods of troubleshooting
and check if there are any changes:

Method 1:
Run SFC Scan.  

SFC
will
scan
and
run
an
automatic repair
to any
corrupted system files
that it will detect. We suggest that you perform it twice. To run an
SFC scan, follow these steps:  

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt as Administrator.  
  
• 
  Type
  sfc /scannow
  and hit
  Enter.   
  

Method 2:
Run DISM Tool.  

DISM
will
restore any Corrupted System Image
that causes the
issues
on your icons and applications. To perform
DISM, follow these steps:  

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt as Administrator.  
  
• 
  Type the following command:  
  
  • 
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /scanhealth  
    
  • 
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth  
    

NOTE:
This might take a while to finish scanning.
Do not cancel.

Method 3: Clean Boot.

To perform a
Clean Boot, click
here.

Note:
Reset the computer back to
Normal Mode
once you are done with the troubleshooting by following the section
"How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting"
from the same article.

Method 4: Perform a Custom Installation of Windows

Custom installation
works like installing your
Windows 10
again. Performing custom installation will
replace
those
corrupted system
files
and
system image files
that causes the issue to occur with a new file. Kindly refer to the

to: Do a custom installation of Windows by
Andre Da Costa.

Note:
Kindly make sure to
backup
all your
important files and folders
to
prevent
data loss.
