Logging in to Win 11 with Microsoft Account

I do not know who in his wisdom decided to make it mandatory to log into Win 11 with a Microsoft account - my hotel wifi requires an additional step to connect to the internet. So I am now unable to work offline on my laptop

 

Upgrade Win 10 to Win 11 failed

I can upgrade my win7 partition to win10 and subsequently upgrade it to win 11. So it looks like problem is within my production win 10 partition itself.

I am unable to move my production application to win 11 (upgraded from win 7) as currently I do not have a product key to do that. Otherwise I would just leave the current win 10 partition alone and become a test partition.

I just reran the Media Creation Tool that I just downloaded a few minutes ago. It took less than three minutes to create the ISO file on my medium powered computer with NVMe SSD and 500 Mbps internet connection. Maybe try restarting your computer and downloading a fresh Media Creation Tool? Make sure to note where the ISO file is stored at the last step:
