Windows 10: Hi, I am using HP Laptop since October'20 and recently I am facing issues with my battery.

It suddenly discharges and when I plug in, it shows 100% in a matter of minutes and sometimes even if i plug in for 30 mins the battery won't charge. If someone can help me out with this.Plus, my laptop has slowed down a bit these days, it takes too much time for me to login to my device or get it connected with the bluetooth.

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.

1. Since when are you facing this issue?
   
2. Have you recently made any changes on the device prior to this issue?
   
3. What is the model number of the device?
   
4. Have you tried connecting the different charger on the device?
   

Here are the steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1: Run Power troubleshooter

1. Click on Start, and type in Troubleshoot.
   
2. Select Power and click on Run the
   Troubleshooter.
   

Method 2

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

1. Power off the laptop.
   
2. Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
   
3. Disconnect the AC adapter from the laptop.
   
4. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
   
5. Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
   
6. Power ON the laptop and check the status of the issue.
   

Please perform the steps as described in detail from this
HP document.
These steps help in fixing battery related issues.

You can also contact manufacturer support for the further assistance, if the issue still persists
with the battery performance.

Laptop Startup on Battery Failure

Did quick search and found a few hits.

One HP forum suggested calibrating battery. This procedure may not be the one for your laptop so you could research the steps for your device. HP forums would likely be the best place as it is specific to HP. That said huge amount of knowledge and equipment on this forum. Maybe a new thread with the known issue could bring in answers.
