Hi I cant sign in to my lap top won’t let me enter password there is a red line I’ve noticed underneath? It’s like it’s locked never done before it is a new lap top have I pressed something?CheersM

Red Wavy Lines appear in edge

Hi,

I would request you to reset the edge settings and then check if it helps.

Refer the steps below to reset Edge.

Steps:-

        First of all launch Microsoft Edge Browser.
        
      • 
        After that click on “More action” option which is visible at top right side of the browser and you will see “Settings” option.
        
      • 
        Under “Settings” scroll down and you will see a button “Choose what to clear” under “Clear browsing data” option.
        
      • 
        Once you click on this option you will see list of feature like
        

• Browsing History
• Cookies and saved website data
• Cached data and file
• Download history
• Form data
• Password.

Please revert if the red wavy lines appear while using edge.

Signing in to my lap top

Three people are authorized to sign into and use MY Lap Top. My wife rarely does, thus she can't remember password. I can use "account.live.com/password/reset with my Microsoft account and sent code number to her cell phone. Question will that code be for
her or for me. Understand that.....she's not trying to change email PW, proplem is that she does not know PW to log into the lap top and will need to use my Microsoft account to do so is that possible or is there another way.

I did a reset on my lap top, now when I try to sign in it comes up with incorrect pass word for my Microsoft account ,I have since reset it but it still comes up with incorrect password ,is there a time delay on when the new password kicks in?
