In summary, my family wanted internet down at the shed, so I set up a wireless bridge to get wifi down there. Ever since my PC at the house will be connected but nothing will load browser, steam, discord etc. I have tried all the typical DNS stuff mentioned in other posts with some success. Typically need to reset network adaptor, dns flush, restart multiple times and sometimes have fully reinstalled windows. No matter what I do, everytime I restart my pc, the same issue occurs. I have tried all the fixes others have used but nothing seems to permanently fix the issue. Please help, I’m at my

Bridging wifi and ethernet connections – wifi keeps disconnecting

Hi all,

I am trying to use Windows to bridge my wifi connection to non wifi devices. I have successfully setup the bridge in Network Connections. However, the wifi only stays connected for a few seconds before it disconnects (everything is working as expected, with wired devices having internet access, until wifi disconnects). This seems to be something to do with the ethernet cable being connected, as when I disconnect the ethernet the wifi stays connected.

Things I have tried:

• Turning off power management and checking bios for any funky power management settings
  
• Setting "Priority & VLAN" to disabled
  
• Disabling "Automatic metic" and setting wifi to priority order – though you don't seem to be able to change this for specific connections when bridged.
  

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

P.S. everything works fine with bridge disabled and using internet connection sharing enabled on the wifi. However I am unable to connect to devices such as printers (hence why I am trying bridged mode).

To isolate your concern, we would like to know how your network bridge is connected? Is it a wireless connection or a wired connection?

In the meantime, we suggest that you set up your network bridge to refresh the adapter and reconnect the other devices. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Add Incoming Connections from the Internet.
• Bridge the two network connections that you want to use.
• Forget the internal network connection (under
  Manage Known Networks).
• Reconnect to your bridge network.
• Restart your computer and check if your concern persists.

but Nokia Lumia 520 of my friend can connect to the wireless bridge , this Lumia 520 is up to date
