Hi, I've got a weird symbol at the bottom of my computer screen. Can someone tell me what it is? I've search the internet to no avail. It does not go away when the computer is restarted. When I try to screen grab using snip it does not show up on the snip. I had to take a pic with my phone.Thank you.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.

GTX 580 crashing in BF3 only, weird symbols on screen

Very Weird, Well try to use your GPU on another computer and see if it hangs or not if it does then your GPU needs RMA, If it works fine then ?????*Confused or uninstall BF3 and install it again and see what happens.
It's a real head scracher!

**EDIT: Well you could try to flash your bios and check the voltages are normal or not and maybe try to under clock it

Q1:Why i am suggesting him to underclock?
Ans.:Well there was and old thread on TPU who has almost the same problem he underclocked his card and it work fine.(he has an 570 or something forgot the model)

Note. UnderClock will decrease your performence.**
