Hi, I've had issues with the latest windows 10 update, which I think freezes photoshop when I try to export a file, freezing it when file explorer pops up. I tried uninstalling the latest update, Security Update KB5034763 first with the control panel home, and then later with a command. Both times it said it showed a bar that it was uninstalling, requested I restart, but both times, the update is still there, and the issue with photoshop as well.

I recommend you to uninstall the existing program, re-install it in compatibility mode on Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated software from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the software installation file and select

• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the software and check.

Photoshop 5 worked a couple times in Windows 10

I understand how it feels when things doesn't work as expected.

Method 1: I suggest you to reinstalling Adobe Photoshop 5 and check if it helps.

Method 2: If the issues persists, try to reinstall Adobe Photoshop in compatibility mode and check if it helps. This might have caused due to any compatibility issues.

Follow these steps for installing Photoshop in compatibility mode.

• Place the applications installation file on the Desktop.

• Right Click the applications installation file and select
  Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select the appropriate options from the list in the following image.

Adobe Photoshop hangs

Photoshop starts to load, then hangs on "Reading Text Global Resources... Done" The problem started on Windows 7, so I hoped that when I changed to Windows 10 the problem would stop, but it still persists. The latest version of Photoshop is not for sale,
only for a lease on a monthly payment, so I didn't go for this, as I don't uses it often enough.
