    Or perhaps they are both considering only the case of being fully compliant with Windows 11 system requirements. Motim is not. Motim is trying to update a non-compliant computer. Many of the posters in this thread have done precisely what Motim wants to do. My suggested procedure & Bree's suggested procedure & Megahertz's suggested procedure are valid procedures and have been proven [by doing them]. I've only omitted FreeBooter's suggested procedure from this list because I have not watched that video but FreeBooter has demonstrated his technical competence time & time again in these forums so I have no doubt that his is equally valid & has also been proven in action.     windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
