Windows 10: Hi my dad passed on my win 8 to me but i need to switch to a microsoft account excpt it...

i tried to restore it but it still didnt work.

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. My Child by-pass his account by switching to local account.

I would like to inform you that you can create local account only with an administrator account, so your child’s account may be an administrator account.



I would suggest you to change your child’s account to the standard account and check if it helps.



To change the account type please follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows + X key.
  
• 
  From the jump menu select Control Panel.
  
• 
  On the Top right click on view by and select
  large icons.
  
• 
  Go to User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on change your account type (which you prefer/want to make standard).
  
• 
  Select standard and hit Change Account Type.

  Follow the on screen instructions.

Windows 8 with 2 Microsoft accounts?

Yea, I would create a local account and just use your school account to login to Outlook and Onedrive.
