Windows 10: Hi quality Wifi speakers -- not blu tooth - any around

are there any high quality wifi speakers around -- I have a Bose 10 which has 6 wi-fi presets which is great but I'm looking for something larger and would like a stereo pair which could be controlled via a mobile phone as say a controller .

Wifi quality is so much better than blu tooth when you have high quality flac / uncompressed source files. The bose speaker also allows you to set it up on windows and control from mobile phone. I'm looking for something similar but want stereo. Don't get me wrong the bose is really good but I really do like the best sound quality possible from decent source files. I'm happy with blu tooth for wireless tv sound using soundbars but these are for movies etc .

Recommendations for Windows based blue-tooth Speaker Phone; kind re

Looking for a windows based blue tooth speaker phone for the car. I have been finding universal blue-tooth versions, but they are mainly made for android phones. One is particular is made by Motorola. So far, its better quality, however your limited with
a Windows phone. Suggestions? Thank you for your time.

 

24 Bit FLAC HQ music to 16 Bit for CD type player ??

I have a load of 48 bit high quality FLAC music files which I want to copy for some people who can only play on standard audio type equipment which means a Max of 16 bit CD quality audio. Any decent software around that can do this -- I know it can easily be done with studio grade software but I want something free and easy

(ITunes can do it but I loathe iTunes and wouldn't go near them for love nor money !!).

BTW if you use things like PLEX / amazon fire stick etc 48 bit music won't play - or won't be transcodable either in the server application. As for Blu tooth speakers -- well to any decent audiophile blu tooth is essentially a 4 letter word when talking about quality --wifi beats blu tooth hands down --not even oin the same UNIVERSE. Blu tooth OK for phones etc but tht's it. !!!!

BTW if you hve access to HQ speakers (and I mean really High quality ones) the 24 bit sound makes a HUGE difference - even with standard 16 bit CD sound which isn't too bad either. !!! However I do need to transcode some of my files to 16 bit so anybody whose got some decent software suggestions on this -- would be grateful.

Quality Wireless Speakers

Hi,
I am looking at buying a good quality wireless speaker. I have heard the the UE Boom is pretty good. Does anyone recommend anything similar or better in the same price range? Any suggestions welcome.
