I have all the latest system updates. The option of brightness has disappeared from display settings. What should I do?

Asus NX500JK Brightness Wont Adjust

So i decided to do a reinstall deleting all my files which were none basically and right after it booted i tried adjusting the slider with no luck

I will try the other steps, but if i cant get it going this would suck horribly lol i got a great deal on this $850 and its a $2k+ laptop and looks amazing but if i cant adjust brightness that might kill the deal
