Windows 10: Hi this is my first problems in my laptop that runs windows 10 in Disk D it say I have 6 GB...

I go in settings and than I go to storage VIEW STORAGE ON OTHER DIRVES Than I click D drive temporary= 6.25 GB but recycle bin is emptyAnd when every I go go to clear it in settings it shows me 0 bytesplz help

hard disk drive problem

i have a western digital 120 gb ide hard drive ( there was still 25 gb free space ) and everything was running fine until i decided to update windows xp home edition service pack 1 to service pack 2. I updated the windows and after the updating was done it asked me to restart the computer so i restarted the computer and it was normal then the windows would not start up. i turned off the computer and then turned it back on, everything gets on normally but it gets stock at where it says windows xp, it just stays there forever therefore i dont get to my desktop. Any idea what might be causing the problem?

I have an old hard disk drive which im not using and it has 10 gb space. Can i plug it to my system and run the windows from that and still be able use my other hard disk too so i can uninstall the service pack 2 from my hard disk.

"RESETTING" is a loaded word with Windows versions 8 - 10 and refers to a Windows recovery function with potentially unfortunate consequences for the unaware.

The STEP 4: instructions are a little more complete, but omit an important step. The drive with disk inserted must be connected to the laptop before restarting the laptop. Then, if the USB and DVD drivers are loaded at boot time, the DVD may be available for use.

 

Change Disk Numbers - Drive Running At 1.5 Gb/s Instead Of 3 Gb/s

I have recently moved my new 6 Gb/s operating system drive from a 3 Gb/s SATA controller to a 6 Gb/s SATA controller. The only problem is that the disk number changes.

For example, instead of my operating system drive being Disk 0, it is now Disk 2, and instead of being at the top of the list in Disk Management and Macrium Reflect, it is at the bottom.

Can the disk number be changed, or doesn't it matter?
