    Hibernate after Suspension Windows 10

I am using Windows 10 Home 64 bit on a ASUS Vivobook but I am not able to configure it to hibernate after suspension when it is not connected to power.

I have configured the power settings to go into suspension after 15 mins and then into hibernation after 60 minutes.

When the system goes into suspension, it weaks up after 60 minutes triggered by ACPI Wake Alarm, but then the system does not go into hibernation state. It waits 15 minutes and then goes into suspension again.

The results is that it drains the battery.

In the event log, there is nothing special, there is no error, there is no attempt to go into hibernation.

Note that hibernation state works fine if I trigger it manually.

    This is the typical process:

Hibernate after Suspension Windows 10 f9de879e-3f60-4788-9f3e-950dca0339bd?upload=true.png

The system goes into suspension (02:16:57). It wakes up after 15 mins (event at 02:16:58 as it does not know that the time changed), it updates the clock (03:17:27), some more events and then at 03:32:56 it goes into suspension again.

I have tried to create a new power plan from scratch but the result is always the same.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

    Best regards,

    Francesco

    Hibernate after Suspension Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
