Hibernate fails to hibernate with System Event code 2008 then 41

I recently rebuilt my Windows 10 Pro system from a MBR boot to a EUFI boot and installed a Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB SSD as the boot disk on a new PCIe Gen 4 system. Previously on the old Bios system hibernate worked just fine. Now on the new EUFI system with the much faster boot drive hibernate fails. Is it possible that power gets turned off before the Samsung 980 Pro has a chance to complete writing from the 1 GB ram cache buffer to the flash memory? It only takes 10 to 15 seconds to shut down the system.Deep Sleep and Fast Boot are both turned off in the EUFI bios and Fast Startup is turned of

    :)

    hibernating/password

    Hello Rich,

One possible reason why your system keeps hibernating or goes to sleep is because of the power plan settings of your computer. To assist you with your concern regarding your PC hibernating, we recommend that you reconfigure the power plan settings by following
    the steps below:

    • Type Display on Cortana's search field and press
      Enter.
    • Select Power & sleep.
    • Under the Sleep option, click the drop down menu to set the number of minutes/hours you would like your PC to sleep/hibernate. We suggest that you select
Never if you do not want you system to hibernate.
    • Close all windows for the changes to take effect.

Let us know if you will need further assistance.

  3. Hibernating on my XP pro system doesn't work

    Can anyone help me please?
I have just reloaded XP Pro on my system using the same software as before, no new hardware or software has been introduced.

Since doing this the system appears to go through the Hibernation process as it closes, but when I start again by pressing the Power button the system goes through the normal start up, not the quicker hibernate mode.

I have selected Enable Hibernate in the Control Panel>Power options?

    Any constructve suggestions out there?

Artifacts when exiting standby & hibernation

when you are all talking about "divider" i think you mean "smallest frequency step with the current divider" ..

i havent found a way how a non-pnp kernel mode driver can get notified of power events like standby/hibernate
