Hibernate mode consumes a lot of power, and the computer runs out of power in one night

Under normal circumstances, the computer in Hibernate mode is almost no power consumption, similar to the shutdown state. But in Hibernate mode on my laptop, I could distinctly feel the hot memory sticks on the back of the computer. I'm pretty sure I put the computer into Hibernate mode in the normal way, where the screen turns off, the fan stops, and the power light goes out. FirstI've tried the following but nothing works :1. Restart the device2. Pull out all peripherals before HibernateImage upload failed so can only text description, very sorry!Second, I tried to find the problem from

  2. sleep mode and power options not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Forums.

For issues with sleep mode and power options follow the steps provided below.

Run the Power troubleshooter and check.

Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Type Troubleshooting in search and click
      Troubleshooting.
    • Now type Power in the search option.
    • Click on Power troubleshooter to run.

I would suggest you to try updating the Display driver and check if the issue persists. If you already have all the latest drivers from Windows updates, then I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
drivers in compatibility mode and check.

    Hope this helps.

Hibernate mode consumes a lot of power, and the computer runs out of power in one night

    High Idle power consumption

    Hi,

A laptop in idle still drains the battery. It can be one of the lists below are the reasons why your discharging faster.

    • The power plan is on High-Performance. It consumes more energy because it maximizes the computer's usage. Toggle it as Balanced by going to Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options.
    • Too many background applications running. We can check this by going to Windows Settings > System > Battery saver > Battery usage by app. You can set adjust the settings of your battery there as well. Also, please follow the tips on the window on how you
      can manage your battery.
    • You use the second graphics card as your display to an external monitor.
    • Using sleep mode instead of hibernate mode. Hibernate mode is advisable to use when stepping away from the device for very long.

In addition to this, you can run the automatic troubleshooter to
find and fix problems with your computer's power settings to conserve power and extend battery life
    .

Feel free to post back if you need further help.
