Windows 10: Hibernate option has disappeared from my power menu Win 11

Win 11 operating systemWhen I bought my computer 2 years ago, one of the set-up functions I performed was to put Hibernate in as one of my power options. Then a few days ago it disappeared from my power menu, along with the power function of the Control panelTo be specific, in the Control Panel, under Power Options>Choose what the power buttons do, I have checked the box for "change settings that are currently unavailable" but the Hibernate option has disappeared!! All I have there now is sleep and lock.I am not sure what has happened,Please help.TYVM

The "hibernation" command has disappeared

You may need to Restart before the hibernate option appears in Control Panel's Power options. You need to show settings that are currently unavailable in order to enable showing hibernate on Start.

I have just tested that. After enabling hibernate but before a Restart it does not appear in the dropdown list in your screenshot. After a Restart it does.

Do the following things:

• Open "Power Options" (Win-X -> O)
• Left Menu, Click on -> Require a password on wakeup
• Click on -> Change settings that are currently unavailable
• At the bottom "Shutdown settings" tick "Hibernate"

That's all.

Just for clarification, why you can not check the Hibernate option in Settings? Is it grayed out?

For now, we suggest that you perform Power troubleshooter.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and press Enter.
• In the Troubleshooting window, click View All on the left pane.
• Select Power.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
