  1. Hibernation not working when virtualization enabled

    I recently installed Windows 11 on my second NVMe drive, the Kingston KC2500, replacing the Plextor M9PeG. However, I encountered an issue with hibernation not working properly. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that enabling core isolation, VM platform, or hypervisor platform caused hibernation to fail. When attempting to hibernate the PC, the screen would go black, but the PC wouldn't turn off, and after a while, it would go back to the login screen. As a result, I had to disable fast startup to avoid the screen lock issue upon shutdown.Any idea how can I resolve this hibernation issu

    How to enable Virtualization on Windows 11?

    Hello Pay, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    As Virtualization is already enabled in the Bios I suggest you try the following;

    Access the Control Panel and click on Uninstall a program;

    Click on Turn Windows features on or off in the left menu;

    Enable Hyper-V in the list of features and click OK to install;

    Now the virtualization should work;

    Hope this helps, see you soon!

    • In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
    • When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
    • At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.
    • Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.
