    HID Keyboard Device Missing (Code 45)


    I woke up today and noticed that my keyboard and trackpad were not functioning on my Surface Laptop 3. I went to device manager and saw that both my HID Keyboard Device and HID-compliant mouse were under View-Show Hidden Devices and both had a code 45 and were not connected. I was recommended to uninstall the drivers and windows would reinstall the drivers back. I restarted windows and the drivers are completely missing now. Any help would be appreciated

    Well the fix for code 45 is def doing a system reset. you can keep your files just gotta reset windows. you'll still need to track down your drivers if your worried about it but now its possible to fix
