  1. Hide things on taskbar or move to a second taskbar or some other solution?

Basically I don't want a ton of stuff on my taskbar when I am working.

If I have spotify open for music, maybe a messenger or two for communicating with colleagues, this is taking up

valuable space on my taskbar and can often get in the way when I'm trying to go back and forth between the MANY tabs

I am using for all of my working.

Basically I want a cleaner interface. I would assume the easiest way is to allow a second task bar and I can just drag the tab to it or select a setting that says this program always opens to the second taskbar, but frankly I don't care what method it is done in, I just want to have a taskbar that can have nothing but work tabs on it and somewhere else to have my other open items. This is driving me insane.

    :)

  3. how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.

Hide things on taskbar or move to a second taskbar or some other solution?

Taskbar on second monitor on Win7

It doubles it, at least in the way he wants, I don't know what you want. The taskbar on the second monitor is seperate from the taskbar on the first. The programs open on the second monitor show up on the second task bar.
