    High CPU usage with chat programs only


    Hi my experience with Windows 10 has had it's ups and downs, but I have worked out all the bugs so far but this one. my CPU usage shoots up to 99 whenever using an audio chat program; it started in a virtual table top RPG site called Roll20 but I also experienced the problem using Discord. It does not matter which browser I use. I have checked for malware and viruses, cleaned the cache and temporary files (I use CCleaner very often) and verified drivers, all to no avail. Can anyone give me tips why audio chat would use so much CPU before I roll back to Win 7, with which I did not have this problem? THank you in advance.

    Use of Windows Performance Recorder for tracking down high CPU usage.

    Hi. All day at times I've been plagued by high CPU usage, making Windows virtually unusable. svchost often seems to be the culprit, whenever high CPU usage appears. By the way, not an update problem today, I'm pretty sure.

    I even downloaded a program called LASSO thinking that might help.

    Well, right now CPU usage seems to be about 7 - 20% - it's varying. So, I guess right now I probably don't have a problem.

    However, is Windows Performance Recorder the most appropriate tool to psyche out high CPU usage problems? Thanks.

    Some users have reported that they were experiencing a high CPU usage after installing Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. You can monitor what apps/programs are causing high CPU usage through Processes in Task Manager.
