  1. High GPU clock speeds with programs that do not need that much juice

Hi there, ive been noticing with the last few Nvidia driver updates that certain programs i use for work that do not require much in the way of GPU labour are suddenly causing the GPU clock to spike way up to loads levels, as though i were gaming or rendering. The programs specifically are both Autodesk products, Revit & Autocad. At the moment i am currently using the most recent driver, 472.12, and the GPU clock behaves as it should with Revit, however it still clocks up to load levels when using Autocad - certainly the less 3D intensive of the 2 programs. Every driver update before the abo

CPU and GPU clock speeds drop under load

I'm having a weird problem with my laptop where, every few seconds during playing high-load games, the CPU and GPU both drop speed sharply for a second, causing a big slowdown in framerate. (For instance, the CPU speed will suddenly drop from about 3.4 GHz
to less than 0.8 GHz). At the same time, the screen's brightness will dip as well, which suggests to me that it's related to my power settings. It also seems to happen more frequently when I'm charging a low battery than when the battery is full - I've even
had it happen while streaming video when I'm charging from a low battery.

I've tried switching my power plan settings so that everything is the same for "On battery" and "Plugged in", which solves the brightness changing but does not solve the speed drop. I've also tried monitoring the temperatures of the GPU and CPU but they never
seem too high. I've tried clean installs, updating drivers, etc. I don't have anything overclocked. I've had the laptop for a about a year and the problem is quite new, and seems to be getting worse.

    System:

    Gigabyte P55 WR7 notebook

    Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.8GHz

    16 GB RAM

    NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Juice Podcast Tool will not run in Windows 10

    Hi,

It seems that the Juice Podcast Tool is having a compatibility issue with Windows 10. To find and resolve the problem of older programs, we suggest running the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key.
    • Type run programs, then select Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.

High GPU clock speeds with programs that do not need that much juice

Is there a way to force a program to use a secondary GPU?

I have 2 GPU's (Nvidia GTX 970 and 1080) and I want to force a program to use the 1080 for certain programs/games. Going to Settings>System>Display>Graphics Settings should give me the option to switch GPU's. Unfortunately it does not list both of my GPU's
nor does it allow me to change to another one, only the default GPU is chosen (the 970). This is a desktop computer and I have tried the Nvidia control panel and UEFI settings without much luck. If I tried selecting a program to run on my 1080 (through the
Nvidia control panel), it would still run it on the 970. I have tried switching the GPU's around with not much luck there either. If I can suggest to Microsoft the option in the Graphics Settings to list both GPU's for selection, that would be great. Otherwise
I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.
