    Good day,

    I'm currently suffering from random stuttering and cracks in audio. Any audio playing when the stutters happen becomes a screech-filled mess, the mouse cursor grinds to halt, and I experience frame drops in games.

    I used LatencyMon to find the offenders and found issues with Wdf01000.sys and ACPI.sys



    The offending drivers.

    I've hunted for fixes all over the web and scoured forums. Most advice didn't work or actively contradicts other fixes recommended. I've noticed that this is a common complaint for Dell Laptops.
