Windows 10: high latency with no solution

my pings really inconsistent and is between 120-200, ive literally done everything possible to fix it and cant im pretty sure it happened when i downloaded nvidia app and updated my drivers with it since it was fine beforeive contacted nvidia but they couldnt do anything:-changed my dns-an entire factory reset-no other program open in background -no vpn enabled -network adapter reset-updated to latest rtx and rolled it back -tried my phone hotspot, ethernet and two wifis but same result-reseted my router but its only a problem for my laptop

High DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) latency can indeed cause the issues you're experiencing. The `storport.sys` driver is related to storage port I/O, and high latency in this driver can lead to system freezes and audio glitches.

As suggested by LatencyMon, disable any CPU throttling settings in the BIOS. This includes settings like AMD Cool N Quiet and Intel Speed Step. These settings can sometimes interfere with real-time performance. Back up your important files in advance, just in case.

You can also check SATA Ports. Some users reported that moving their SSD to different SATA ports on their motherboard helped reduce latency. If you have other drives connected, try disconnecting them and see if the issue persists.

In addition, high-performance power plans can sometimes help reduce latency issues. Go to Control Panel (You can search it in Start menu) > Power Options and select a high-performance plan.

High Latency

I'm having an issue with high latency. After a reboot the computer runs fine....but over time the latency continues to increase so eventually everything starts to respond so slow that it is unusable and have to do a hard restart. I haven't been able to
figure it out. I bought an external network card to use instead of the onboard one hoping that would fix it....but same results. Anyone have any ideas??
