Windows 10: High ping but only on pc

when playing any game on my pc i get 180 or more ping, which is strange because my ps4 is right next to it and games get 40 ping on there so i doubt the wifi is the problem, when using google's speed test it shows the 50mb i pay for, this problem started a few months ago and i cant solve it. Please help

3. Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
   

2. Disable Background Applications

Some background applications can cause high ping spikes by using a significant amount of network bandwidth.

1. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
   
2. Go to the "Startup" tab and disable unnecessary startup programs.
   
3. Check the "Processes" tab to see if any applications are using excessive network resources and close them if necessary.
   

3. Check for Malware

Malware can cause network issues, including high ping spikes.

1. Run a full system scan with Windows Defender or another reputable antivirus software.
   

4. Adjust Power Settings

Sometimes power settings can affect network performance.

1. Open Control Panel and go to "Hardware and Sound" > "Power Options."
   
2. Select "High performance" as your power plan.
   

5. Disable Network Throttling Index

Windows sometimes throttles network performance to prioritize other tasks.

1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type regedit, and press Enter.
   
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile.
   
3. In the right pane, double-click on NetworkThrottlingIndex.
   
4. Set the value to FFFFFFFF (8 Fs) and click OK.
   
5. Restart your computer.
   

6. Use Ethernet Connection

If you're using Wi-Fi, try using an Ethernet connection to see if it resolves the issue.

7. Check Router Settings

Ensure that your router is properly configured and that QoS (Quality of Service) settings are not limiting your PC's bandwidth.

8. Disable Large Send Offload (LSO)

Disabling LSO can sometimes resolve high ping issues.

1. Open Device Manager and expand "Network adapters."
   
2. Right-click your network adapter and select "Properties."
   
3. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
   
4. Select "Large Send Offload V2 (IPv4)" and set it to "Disabled."
   
5. Select "Large Send Offload V2 (IPv6)" and set it to "Disabled."
   
6. Click OK and restart your computer.
   

9. Contact ISP

If none of the above steps work, there might be an issue with your ISP's routing to your specific PC. Contact your ISP for further assistance.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the high ping spikes on your PC. If the problem persists, it might be worth checking for any hardware issues with your network adapter or considering a professional diagnostic.

Windows 10 High Ping on Games

Is it before the CSGO update or after. Lots of people are reporting this issue after the update. They are saying that the new update has messed up the routing or something. I would suggest to try connection optimizer like Kill Ping. It will bypass all the
nodes in between and directly connect you to game server.

But first do these steps given in the guide for CSGO
