    High ping spikes on Windows 10 PRO


    Hi there.

    For a week or so, my ping started to go like nasty spikes as you can see below.

    P.S. : Those spikes are not that bad, but I had times with 400ms+ spikes.

    Also, my machine is a ASUS ZenBook PRO Duo, I have 1000mb/s internet and a 5G router with 1200mb/s speeds, so I think my hardware should not be the issue.


    So, I have checked my WI-FI connection and the ping was perfect, <1ms. After that, I've researched on different forums about this problem and I've tried every single thing on those forums and still no luck. I've called my internet provider and they have sent someone to check my issue. He ran the same ping test on his laptop and he had no ping spikes. So, i've booted my laptop on a external ssd with Ubuntu installed and I've tried the same ping test and guess what? No ping spikes.


    There must be a problem with my Windows. I have ran out of ideeas. If you had the same issue and you resolved it, let me know how :

    Random High Ping Spikes

    So, I decided due to other issues I was having, and low storage space to reset my PC. The issue was solved that way, I'm no longer experiencing random ping spikes.

    Internet,

    This is my first post ever, so no judge haha. Anyways, I've been having quite large ping spikes from 100-999+. It makes all online games pretty much unplayable, I'm not quite sure what the issue is after looking at 10+ different website, nothing seems
    to work. I've tried switching wireless cards, editing some settings, turning apps off and on, and more, but nothing works. I'm not fully sure what information I need to provide, so if you all need more information, just tell me. I'm running Windows 10 Pro
    1903, my wireless card is a Realtek 8812AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac. Hopefully that's all the information you need, but tell me if there is more required to solve this issue. I pinged my router using the "ping -n 30 -l 1000 [routerip]" command, and these were

    Windows 10 high ping spikes randomly

    As the tittle says i get high ping spikes in games and discord randomly 1000+ ms (while my brother is on the same discord server with , me he has around 60-70ms) when i go to task manager network usage it says 0% usage or 1 % but the i see some services
    at the top and the game/games almost at the bottom .

    I ran the latest updates for windows.

    My specs : cpu r5 1600 , motherboard asrock ab350 pro4 , 16 gb ram , gpu rx 580 8gb , 250 gb ssd
