Windows 10: High ping spikes

Discus and support High ping spikes in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; So when i try to play roblox i always get a very high ping that lasts about 3 seconds where everyone is stuck and after that time everything goes back...     High ping spikes


    So when i try to play roblox i always get a very high ping that lasts about 3 seconds where everyone is stuck and after that time everything goes back to normal for about 20 seconds and the same thing happends again over and over. I have watched so many videos but none of them work I would really like for this problem to go away. Thanks for your time!

    Hi,

    I'm sorry but I understood that the ping spikes only occurred on the 2 PCs of your children, not on your PC. It's my fault.

    Run the same tests that were suggested in the link I attached, including the Clean Boot test and let me know.

    High ping/latency spikes

    Yes the router is in the same room as my children's PCs and they experience no ping spikes. They both have a TP-Link AC1200 PCIe and experience no issues while I have a RTL8852AE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter on my laptop and expierence ping spikes. Both their PCs and my laptop use 5GHz and only I experience issues on both networks while they do not. Ping spikes are only present on my main laptop both close and away from the router while my spare laptop does not experience any ping spikes, even when moved further away. Thank You

    Hi Dan. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

    You could always shrink C in Disk Mgmt and Clean Install WIndows 10 in a Dual Boot to try it on that laptop: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

    This way you can decide if you want to keep it on the PC, go back and forth, use both, or use one and keep the other in reserve. If you decide you want to keep it I'll show you how to still get a free WIndows 10 license, just skip the key during intsall.
