Windows 10: High quality pictures look bad/fuzzy in the browser. How can I fix it?

Me tile displays fuzzy picture

HI

Just a small issue - I have tried changing my picture fo my me tile several times on my (and my Wifes) 800 but it always displays as fuzzy. Pictures are changed on the live site using my PC, all are of decent resolution but under the required limit but look
pretty bad on the phone, all other tiles are lovely and sharp, only the "me" tile is fuzzy?

On a side note after last update I'm getting just shy of 4 full days with normal use.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

N97 Fuzzy Pictures

I can't say I've seen any image quality issues on the N97 myself. To check the quality pictures are being taken at, do the following:

• Navigate to Menu > Applications > Camera (or open the camera cover)
• Press the options button
• Select settings
• Check that image quality is set to Print 5M - Large
  
  If this is not set, click on the option and adjust the slider that appears to the top.

If you find you're still having problems with image quality, where are you looking at the images from? Looking at them on the mobile screen might not give the best indication, so transfer them to a computer where the monitor is of a reasonably good quality
or has been calibrated to see what they look like.



If there's still issues and you're having other problems with the handset, consider performing a factory reset on the device. I won't provide the links to that information for your own safety, and will stress the point to the cows come home that you should
ensure all device information is backed up appropriately.
