  1. hit keys and display went very glare-y...

Windows 10 Home/HP Spectgre x360/UHD Graphics 620 display adapter: I hit a combination of the left shift+ctrl+fn+window+alt and the prtscrn and my display immediately got a very bright glare on it. adjusting the brightness does not remove the glare. My display could be going bad, but was just ironic when I hit the keys, it happened. I have tried multiple things from multiple google searches and cannot get it reset to what it was before. I have also verified i have the lastest version of the driver for the Display Adapter.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks!

    :)

Mismatch of Display Language Settings - Windows 10

    Hi Medali,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

Ideally, when a language pack is set as default, all the features within the operating system should display in the same language. Seems like some settings are missing, let’s reset the default display language and see if it works for you.

I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if the issue resolves:

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
      Windows PowerShell (admin).

    • Run the following command and hit enter:

      $1 = New-WinUserLanguageList en-US
    • Once the command is executed, copy paste the following command and hit enter:

      Set-WinUserLanguageList $1
    • Press ‘Y’ and hit Enter if it prompts for confirmation.
    • Exit PowerShell and reboot the machine to see if the issue persists.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    • Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
    • Select “Hardware and Sound” from the Troubleshooter Window.
    • Select “Hardware and Devices” under Devices option.
    • Follow the On Screen instructions.

Method 2: Update the latest display drivers and check if that helps:

    Follow these steps:

    • Press “Windows Key + X” from the keyboard.
    • Type “device Manager” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.
    • Right click on the display drivers and select
      “Update”.
If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the latest display
    drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

    Thank you
