Hitachi Ext HDD not recognized in Win 10 1607 (show as 3 unallocated)

My 2TB Hitachi Ext HDD not recognized after fresh install of Windows 10 1607
In disk management it's show as 3 unallocated partition as this image https://i.imgur.com/pWwYhOi.png

This HDD can be used fine in older windows, and this HDD use FAT32 (used with xbox 360).

Thanks you and sorry for my bad english.

    :)

Hard drive is recognised as SSD drive in windows 10.

Original Title: HTS Hard drive (HDD) now recognized as an SSD drive upon upgrade to win 10

DID an upgrade of a new hdd ---HGST HTS725050A7E630 HDD --500gb 7200rpm---Hitachi? to windows 10.

Fresh install of win 7 on this acer laptop worked and defragged correctly...on install of win10..hard drive now recognized as a ssd ,so won't defrag etc. how to fix?

  3. External USB drives not being detected by Windows 10 after applying the Anniversary Update

There is no problem with any of my USB flash drives. They are all recognized. The problem only exists with my Transcend StoreJet 750GB external USB HDD - which ever since installing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update does not show up in File Explorer. To
be more specific: the disk shows in Device Manager and is correctly listed under Disk Drives. It also shows in Disk Management (no drive letter, no file system, one healthy partition, and 3 unallocated areas). I connected this HDD to a Win 7 machine and it
was successfully recognized by Windows Explorer.

Hitachi Ext HDD not recognized in Win 10 1607 (show as 3 unallocated)

There is a serious bug in the AU with some disks / partitions having a RAW format - that could be your problem? Try that disk on another Pc and check whether the disk is recognised and your data is still there (hopefully).
