    So I ran a hitmanpro scan on my parents computer cuz i was curious. got some "IQIYI" stuff. i know its a chinese video thing, but how is it malware? most were just pngs.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    [Question/Security] What is vSnapshot/vSnapshotServ.exe?

    It's a PUP that probably got installed along with another program.

    Follow the steps here.

    Remove Advanced ScreenSnapshot adware (Removal Guide)

    If it is not listed in the Control Panel, or it can't be removed there, move on to step 2. You might be able to skip the step with HitmanPro. (30 day free trial if needed)
